Why is the WTO in trouble?
The World Trade Organization, the international body regulating global trade in goods, services and intellectual property, is facing a serious crisis in the process of settling its disputes. The United States has been blocking appointments to the WTO appellate division, often referred to as the Supreme Commercial Court, for two years.
